Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Follow The Spend ("FTS", "we", "us"), operated by Inforah Private Limited. By creating an account or using FTS you agree to these Terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind that business.

1. Who can use FTS

FTS is built for businesses operating a Shopify store. You must be at least 18 and authorised to enter into contracts on behalf of your business.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in credentials secure. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, email us at hello@followthespend.com.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans: Free, Starter, Growth and Scale (self-serve), and Enterprise (custom).
• Free plan: every account starts on the free plan. It includes 100 tracked orders per calendar month, requires no card, and does not expire. The allowance refills at the start of each monthly cycle.
• Currency: all plans are priced in US dollars.
• Billing: the Service is sold through the Shopify App Store and billed via the Shopify Billing API. Charges are added to your monthly Shopify bill; we do not directly process card payments.
• Billing cycle: paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Billing begins when you approve the charge in your Shopify admin.
• Included orders: each plan includes a monthly tracked-order allowance. A plan's allowance is the whole allowance: nothing is billed per order beyond it, and the free plan's 100 orders are not added on top of a paid plan's.
• Reaching your allowance: on the free plan, tracking pauses for the remainder of the cycle and resumes automatically when the allowance refills. Upgrading resumes tracking immediately, with the new plan's full allowance available at once. On a paid plan, tracking continues and we notify you in the dashboard so you can upgrade.
• Payment failures: if Shopify reports a charge failure, the subscription enters a frozen state and tracking pauses until you resolve the payment method in your Shopify admin.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from your billing settings or directly from your Shopify admin. Cancellation through Shopify takes effect immediately. No partial refunds for unused time within the cycle.

On cancellation tracking stops immediately and no further data is collected. The app remains installed and your historical data is kept; see our Privacy Policy for retention. Resubscribing resumes tracking straight away.

5. Refunds

30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, email us within 30 days of your first paid charge and we will refund that charge in full. The guarantee applies to the first paid cycle only, and may be claimed once per account and once per store domain. Reinstalling, cancelling and resubscribing, or creating a new account for the same store does not make a second claim available.

Outside that window, paid cycles are non-refundable once charged. This applies to every plan (Starter, Growth, Scale, Enterprise), regardless of feature usage.

Beyond the guarantee, we make refunds at our discretion only in these cases:

• (a) duplicate charges from a billing-system error;
• (b) charges applied after a valid cancellation was processed;
• (c) service unavailability caused by us exceeding 72 consecutive hours within a billing cycle;
• (d) where applicable law requires a refund.

Chargebacks. Before raising a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please email hello@followthespend.com so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account termination.

Where a refund is approved, it's returned to the original payment method within 5-7 business days.

6. Shopify integration

By connecting your store you authorise FTS to read your order data, register a Shopify Web Pixel on your storefront, and register webhooks under the permissions you approve. The Web Pixel is Shopify's own sandboxed tracking mechanism and runs subject to your store's customer privacy settings. You can disconnect anytime from your Shopify admin. Disconnecting stops further data collection; it does not automatically delete already-collected data (see our Privacy Policy for retention).

Advertising accounts. Connecting an advertising account, from Meta or any other platform we support, authorises FTS to read your advertising performance data for the accounts you select. We do not create, edit or pause campaigns, and we do not spend your budget. You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Integrations, which immediately revokes our access and deletes the stored token. Your use of each advertising platform remains governed by that platform’s own terms.

Optional tracking subdomain. You may choose to point a subdomain of your own domain at our service so tracking events are sent to your domain rather than ours. This is optional, is configured by you in your DNS, and makes tracking harder for ad blockers to block. It does not change what we collect, how long cookies last, or tracking accuracy on Apple devices.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use FTS to track visitors in violation of applicable privacy laws or your store's own privacy policy
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Transmit malicious code or interfere with our infrastructure
• Resell, sublicense, or white-label FTS without our written consent
• Use FTS for any unlawful purpose

8. Your data is yours

You own the data collected from your Shopify store. We process it only to deliver the Service and never sell or share it with advertisers. We may use aggregated, anonymised data (where no individual store or visitor can be identified) to improve FTS.

9. Service availability and accuracy

FTS is provided "as is" and "as available". We aim for high uptime but make no SLA in v1.0. Attribution involves inherent limitations (ad-blockers, cross-device gaps, express-checkout flows that bypass our hooks), we don't warrant 100% accuracy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is capped at the total fees you've paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or lost goodwill.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use FTS in a way harmful to others. On termination, your data is retained for 30 days then deleted, unless law requires longer.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes go to the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are notified by email or in-dashboard banner at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of FTS after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
